Overview: Many people say there is no city quite like New York. Well apparently Finkly Interactive knows that too because the captured a huge part of the city’s liveliness, the taxi’s. You may have heard of Harbor Master or Flight Control with the classic line-drawing feel Fare City tops them all. Fare city is the best line drawing game out their for many reasons. It combines the classic line drawing feel, but you have to manage the targets, in this case taxis, in a more unique way. Easily the best game of its kind with sleek graphics and flawless gameplay. No game is more entertaining, or has sleeker graphics then Fare City. It’s flawless gameplay makes it a winner, with no downside.
Features: The controls are basic, and the ability to control your car from a bird’s-eye view. The two-way streets allow the gameplay to be sleek and the game progresses longer because the two-way streets prevent some crashes. You can also break in an urgent situation, so prevent collisions which you don’t find in other games. As the game progresses more taxis are used as well as more passengers are needed which complicates the game. The game has a global leader-board which allows you to compare your performance side-by-side with people across the world or across the room. If the game is to easy for you, (which i highly doubt) you can put the game into fast-forward mode which allows you to continue to challenge yourself. The game is so addictive, and even offers in-game features like the ability to challenge your friends via email. The music in the game completely matches the theme with classic jazz. In version update 1.1 the developer’s added new maps and the ability to play on 3 different levels of difficulty. This really adds to the gameplay and shows off fare city’s finesse. The panning from view to view is incredible as the lights dim and react precisely to your fingers motion. Downtown, the classic map of Fare City was fun, was uncomplicated and cleanly designed. With the addition of the Metrotown map, the users as to manage more precise turns and movements while they guide their taxi’s through sharp turns and the new train obstacle.
Pros: The app is a new spin on the classic line-drawing game, and will keep you entertained for hours. The app has absolutely no downside and nothing to be said about it but praise.
Cons: This is one of the few apps that receives no cons.
Conclusion: The app is a great deal for 0.99 cents and I can even see myself paying 2.99-3.99 for an app this good. It will keep you busy forever and it is one app I don’t see myself ever taking off my iPhone.
